They have quantifiable experience designing a basic network solution using Nortel Networks products and can apply knowledge of the topics tested to help solve customer design issues in most routine situations.

Their responsibilities include:
  • Planning, designing and/or engineering network solutions
  • Determining the right technology for the customer's network
  • Providing a quote
  • Providing assistance where necessary in the development of an implementation plan

What is a CERTIFIED SUPPORT SPECIALIST?

A Certified Nortel Networks Support Specialist is proficient in the installation, configuration and administration, with maintaining and troubleshooting a Nortel Networks solution / product. They have the abilities to analyze and resolve routine technical issues (either locally or remotely)as well as to support other technicians (either locally or remotely, such as field technicians) who are experiencing routine technical issues.

Their skills include:
  • Has quantifiable hands-on experience installing and configuring, administering, maintaining, and troubleshooting a Nortel Networks solution/product
  • Can, with minimal assistance, install and configure, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot basic solutions/products
  • Can apply knowledge of the topics tested to solve common customer support issues in most routine situations
