Contivity Secure IP Services Gateways provide routing, IPsec and SSL VPN, firewall, bandwidth management, encryption, authentication, and data integrity for secure connectivity across managed IP networks and the Internet, all on a single platform.
Contivity Secure IP Services Gateways connect remote users, branch offices, suppliers, and customers with the cost and performance advantages of public IP networks and the security and control found in private networks.
- Virtual Private Networking (VPN): Contivity delivers end-to-end secure IP-VPN capabilities, including standards-based tunneling, encryption, authentication and comprehensive VPN client support.
- Secure Sockets Layers (SSL) VPN Module: Available as an option on Contivity 1740, 2700, and 5000 models, the SSL VPN module delivers tightly-integrated SSL/IPsec services to enterprises. Contivity customers can also add SSL remote access into their existing Contivity devices. SSL is also a convenient secure remote access alternative to IPsec. It avoids the need to install and administer client tunneling software on remote PCs.
The SSL VPN Module 1000 incorporates dedicated SSL processor, memory, and accelerator hardware.
- Stateful firewall: The Contivity stateful firewall combines a comprehensive interface with rich rule sets to provide multiple lines of defense for an enterprise's private network. With built-in protection against hackers, extensive logging of activity, and a wide range of application layer gateways, the Contivity stateful firewall provides wire-speed throughput while protecting the enterprise network and its data from unauthorised access.
- Secure Routing Services: Integrate Contivity into an existing router network or be deployed on its own to build a highly redundant and flexible secure network. It can further be combined with VPN termination and network address translation (NAT) services.
- Bandwidth Management/Quality of Service: Delivers on the promise of highly optimized IP networks. Includes advanced services such as Differentiated Services (DiffServ), RSVP, and sophisticated queue management. Conitivity can ensure that service levels are met for any mission-critical data. Contivity can prioritize by traffic, users, groups, and VPN tunnels.
- LAN/WAN flexibility: Offering great flexibility in its placement within the enterprise network, Contivity can act as the primary WAN/Internet access device via frame relay, dial-up, or leased line connection or be connected to an existing WAN or Internet device via its standard Ethernet interface.
